Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license.
Details
- 18-bed combined unit consisting of 4 PICU beds, 3 Step Down beds, and 11 Pediatric Med/Surg beds
- Day/Night rotation, 36 hours per week
- Patient acuity ranges from med/surg floor level (Level 1), to Level 2 (Q2h interventions, BiPAP), to Level 3 critical care
- Travel RNs may care for varying acuity patients depending on census fluctuations, including pediatric med/surg patients when PICU census is low
- Floating to the ICN (Infant Care Nursery) is possible
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma setting
- Two professional references from managers required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Flexibility to care for patients across varying acuity levels, including critical care, step-down, and general pediatric med/surg
