Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of US hospital ED experience and an active DC RN license.
Details
- Fast-paced Emergency Department treating a wide range of patients including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma cases
- ED nurses routinely perform critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial line management, mass transfusion of blood products, and chest tube management
- Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 9-week contract
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted DC RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a US hospital required
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- CPI certification is required for this position
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- US Social Security Number required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience (within the past 12 months) preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs, prioritizing safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
- Travel experience is preferred but not required
