Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures unit, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active IR tech credentials.

Details

  • Radiology - Special Procedures unit setting
  • 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call requirements
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in IR/Special Procedures
  • Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months
  • Active and applicable state license required, if applicable
  • BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
  • One professional reference required (two references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Unit was traveler friendly, staff was very nice and welcoming, felt supported, nice area of the country for exploring

Cons

Nurses do all their own vitals (not sure how that’s even possible on dayshift), limited resources, morale was low due to recent buyout by HCA
