Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and the ability to float between multiple ICU units.
Details
- Night shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30), with varying days of the week
- Critical Care Float Pool role requiring rotation between Neuro/Trauma ICU (NTICU), Medical ICU (MICU), Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- ICU patient ratios up to 1:3; Progressive Care ratio is 1:4
- Total staffed beds: 21
- May float to a sister facility approximately 10 miles away, and in extreme circumstances to a second sister facility's Medical ICU, Neuro Trauma ICU, or Cardiovascular ICU
- Wide range of critical care-related diagnoses treated
- Every other weekend required, subject to change based on unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- Charting via Epic
- Navy blue scrubs required
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of critical care experience
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, CPI, and TNCC
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center environment preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred

- Level I Trauma Center environment with a wide range of critical care diagnoses
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a different pay rate structure
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
