Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Freestanding Emergency Room (FSER) position in Nashville, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active TNCC certification for night shift coverage.

Details

• Freestanding Emergency Room (FSER) setting within a hospital system in Nashville, TN
• 21-bed unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Standard ER procedures performed, including use of brand new GE monitors and ultrasound equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (19:00–07:00)
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period
• Floating may be required to another FSER location
• Unit secretaries available; no techs on unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI (or accepted equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
• Preferred certifications: ENPC
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required for ED RNs
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date (AHA or ARC accepted)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Patient experience expectations are reviewed and signed on the first day, with a unit goal of 75%
• Scrubs required: black or royal blue
• Unit features brand new GE monitors, new ultrasound equipment, and new stretchers
