Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position in Ohio requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at an academic medical center in Ohio
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekday and some weekend shifts required
- Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Uses Epic EMR (experience required)
- Required skills include IV starts and telemetry monitoring
Requirements
- Active OH or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- IV insertion and telemetry monitoring skills required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
- Changing representation between assignments no longer requires a 30-day break between contracts at this facility
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
- Several parking options are available near the facility, ranging from on-site garage access to shuttle-accessible remote lots
