Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 4+ years of experience and ARRT (M) certification for a 13-week travel contract at a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center in New Haven, CT.
Details
- Position is based at a large, Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,500+ staffed beds
- Mammography unit with rotation across 4 outpatient/hospital-affiliated sites within a 15-minute radius of the main campus
- Floating between sites is required as needed
- Schedule is Monday–Friday with shifts of either 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 12:00–8:30 PM as needed, plus every other Saturday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; a day off during the week is provided when a Saturday is worked
- Schedule is posted one week in advance
- Charting in Epic
- Experience with Hologic mammography equipment is required
- Cross-training as a Breast Sonographer is preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of mammography experience required
- ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications required
- Trauma center experience at a large facility required
- Experience with Hologic equipment required
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions accepted
- License required if applicable — pending state license accepted, but must be active prior to start date
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO exceeding 7 days requires facility approval
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
- Scrub color is teal tops and bottoms
- Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month
