Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit position requiring at least one completed travel assignment and NY RN licensure, with night shift availability including weekends and holidays.
Details
- Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit setting
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 3 shifts per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least one completed travel nursing assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Ability to safely assess and implement patient lifts and transfers
- 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager from within the past year and within the rehab specialty required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care plans
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors patient progress
- Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential in this role
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility may not be eligible for travel pay rates
