Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a small surgical facility in Iowa, requiring circulation skills and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Small OR setting with 4 operating rooms performing a variety of surgical procedures including Ortho, GYN, Urology, General, Cataracts, Pain Injections, ENT, and OB
• Ambulatory and general OR experience required, with circulating responsibilities
• Average surgical caseload of 5–10 patients per day
• Altera EMR experience preferred
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• No regularly scheduled weekend shifts; weekends are on-call only
• On-call rotation required; travelers rotate every 3rd weekend, with only 1–2 weekday shifts during weeks when weekend call is assigned
• When not assigned weekend call, call responsibilities rotate through the week

Requirements

• Active Iowa (IA) or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; 3 years preferred
• Circulating experience required
• Ambulatory OR and general OR experience required
• Experience with ENT, Endo, GYN, Podiatry, and Orthopedic procedures preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
