Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring at least 2 years of PCU experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 14-bed adult medical/cardiac unit managing conditions including CHF, post-cath/pacemaker placement, and COPD
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with approximately 1–2 admissions per day
• Day shift: 7:00am–7:00pm, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• 13-week contract located in Goldsboro, NC
• 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• 1 on-call shift required per pay period
• Holiday coverage required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current NIHSS certification
• CPI-A certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required (BSN or MSN preferred)
• Strong prioritization, interdisciplinary communication, and organizational skills

• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Conducts discharge planning assessments and anticipates post-acute patient and family needs
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
