Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (Step Down) position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 1 year of telemetry or progressive/intermediate care experience and active CO or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 32-bed Intermediate Care Unit (Step Down) at a hospital in Golden, CO
• Manages drips and more acute patients consistent with a progressive/intermediate care environment
• Night shift schedule: 1900–0730, 3 shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Weekend availability is required
• On-call requirements to be discussed during the interview
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; must not expire prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Step Down, Progressive Care, or Intermediate Care setting required
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for intermediate acuity patients, including those on drips
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, and refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Documents nursing care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines using Epic
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• BSN is preferred but not required
