Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week outpatient radiology assignment in Myrtle Beach, SC, requiring ARRT-M certification and at least 1 year of mammography experience.
Details
- Outpatient mammography setting within a radiology department, located in a building attached to the ER
- Screening mammography procedures only
- Average patient volume of 15 patients per day
- Staffed with 1 mammography technologist and 1 unit secretary per shift
- Equipment includes GE Pristina mammography unit
- Documentation systems include MRS, Meditech, and GE PACS
- Monday–Friday day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Potential to float to 2 other breast centers in the area, all within 15–20 minutes of the primary site
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required, rotating with hospital employees
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- ARRT certification with Mammography (ARRT-M) specialty required
- SCRQSA certification required
- BLS/CPR (AHA or ARC accepted) required — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- Bone density experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Professional reference required (2 references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform screening mammography examinations and bone density studies
- Press Ganey surveys are used for post-mammography patient satisfaction feedback
- Scrubs required in gray, pink, or black
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
