Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a pulmonary unit, specializing in advanced bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and ventilator management.

Details

  • Pulmonary unit at an HCA Healthcare hospital in Augusta, GA
  • Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Schedule includes some weekends
  • Equipment used includes Dräger ventilators, Philips V60 CPAPs, and ArivoO2 high-flow devices
  • Procedures include mechanical ventilation, CPAP, ABGs, and high-flow oxygen therapy
  • Advanced procedures include diagnostic, interventional, therapeutic, and robotic (ION/Intuitive) bronchoscopy, cryotherapy, cautery, fluoroscopy, stent placement, and fiducial placement
  • Pulmonary function testing including CPET, DLCO, and pre/post testing, as well as metabolic cart testing
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RRT credential and license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy
  • Active experience within the last 6 months in the role
  • ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • Proficiency with ventilators, CPAP, ABGs, and high-flow oxygen devices
  • Experience with advanced pulmonary procedures including bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and metabolic cart testing
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • Professional reference(s) required for consideration — Florida and Missouri require two; all other states require one
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
