Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN specializing in NICU for a 13-week assignment in Kennewick, WA, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and cross-training in both NICU and OB.
Details
- NICU position at a 111-bed teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA, serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland)
- This department supports NICU as well as OB units — all travelers must be trained and experienced in both areas
- Night shift: 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
- May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- AHA certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
- Dual experience and training in both NICU and OB required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidate must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidate must not be employed full-time elsewhere
- Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility

- Provides care in both the NICU and OB units as needed to address staffing needs across both departments
- Located in southeastern Washington's Tri-Cities region, approximately 3 hours from both Seattle and Portland and 2 hours from Spokane
- The Tri-Cities area offers 25+ square miles of recreational landscape, 27 public parks, 3 golf courses, and is situated in the heart of Washington Wine Country
- Direct flights available from Tri-Cities Airport to 10 major U.S. hubs

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
