Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an outpatient physical therapy setting with a focus on orthopedic upper extremity cases and Epic EMR experience preferred.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting
- Primarily orthopedic upper extremity patient population
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:45 PM
- Epic EMR used; outpatient orthopedic experience highly preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current, active OT license (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Outpatient orthopedic experience highly preferred
- CHT certification is not required
Additional Information
- Perform patient evaluations using history, observation, and subjective/objective measurements to develop individualized plans of care
- Provide therapeutic interventions addressing musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments
- Maintain accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries within departmental timelines
- Collaborate with OTAs regularly to discuss patient cases and establish goals
- Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, treatment, and order clarification
- Contribute to departmental performance through professional development, competency training, mentorship, and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain SC LLR continuing education requirements independently
