Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Acute Care position requiring a GA or compact RN license, at least 2 years of experience, and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Acute Care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6 on both days and nights
• CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio
• Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit
• Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (medical patients), and EC for acute care patient holds
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• MEDITECH EMR used; experience preferred but not required
• 17-week assignment

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required, both must be AHA-issued
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration

Additional Information

• General orientation is approximately 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (distance measured from the address on their driver's license) to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
