Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of acute care ER experience, with mid-shift scheduling and rotating on-call requirements.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Emergency Department with an average daily census of 25–30 patients
• Mid shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2.5 on days, nights, and 1:5 on weekends
• Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or Oklahoma state license) currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department within an acute care setting
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO requests will be accepted
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• A utility bill with a matching address from the last 3 months is required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications are required for consideration
• Candidates who do not yet hold NIHSS or ESI certification should indicate willingness to obtain prior to start
