Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of acute care ER experience, with mid-shift scheduling and rotating on-call requirements.
Details
- Work in a 10-bed Emergency Department with an average daily census of 25–30 patients
- Mid shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:2.5 on days, nights, and 1:5 on weekends
- Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact or Oklahoma state license) currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department within an acute care setting
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO requests will be accepted
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
- A utility bill with a matching address from the last 3 months is required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications are required for consideration
- Candidates who do not yet hold NIHSS or ESI certification should indicate willingness to obtain prior to start
