Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week day shift assignment at a major academic medical center in Virginia, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

Day shift hours, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
Every other weekend required
Work setting is an academic medical center respiratory/neuro diagnostics unit
Epic EMR experience required
36 or 48 hours per week

Requirements

Current RRT certification required (must be in-hand)
BLS certification required
ACCS certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience required; 4 years preferred
Valid state license required; VA license pending is accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the start of the assignment (another active state license is required to be eligible for a VA temp license)
License required if applicable
Two professional references required for consideration
Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
RTO is not available for Memorial Day or the 4th of July
Floating may be required in accordance with candidate's clinical experience
Academic medical center work environment
