Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring active TN or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med/surg patients
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Common diagnoses include stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Unit performs peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs and demonstrated competencies
• Medication management via Omnicell
• Epic EMR used; 1 year of experience required

Requirements

• Active TN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
• Two professional references required for consideration
