Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room (OR) position in Northern Nevada, requiring a minimum of 2-3 years of OR experience, active NV RN license, and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

• Hospital operating room setting
• 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts starting at 6:30 AM
• On-call is required for this position
• Scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
• AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in a US hospital required; 3 years preferred
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties during operative procedures
• Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all equipment is functional and implants are available
• Adheres to aseptic technique standards and intraoperative protocols
• Consults and coordinates with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the operating team
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
