Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 420-bed acute care hospital with a CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Fort Pierce, FL.

Details

• Occupational Therapy department in a 420-bed acute care hospital on the main campus (5th floor office)
• Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Fast-paced environment with a caseload of 8 evaluations in 8 hours
• Portable acute care equipment used throughout the unit
• Documentation via Meditech and Redoc
• 46 OT staff members on the team
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OT license required where applicable
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
• Must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the OT role
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform OT evaluations and treatments
• Acute care experience is preferred but not required

• Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and holds Level 2 & 3 NICU, PICU, and a CARF-accredited 50-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
• Gray scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
