Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 420-bed acute care hospital with a CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Fort Pierce, FL.
Details
- Occupational Therapy department in a 420-bed acute care hospital on the main campus (5th floor office)
- Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Fast-paced environment with a caseload of 8 evaluations in 8 hours
- Portable acute care equipment used throughout the unit
- Documentation via Meditech and Redoc
- 46 OT staff members on the team
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OT license required where applicable
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
- Must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the OT role
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform OT evaluations and treatments
- Acute care experience is preferred but not required
- Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment are encouraged to apply
- Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and holds Level 2 & 3 NICU, PICU, and a CARF-accredited 50-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
- Gray scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
