Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and multiple certifications including TNCC.
Details
- Emergency Department setting with an 11-bed Main ED, 6-bed Fast Track, and 7-bed Observation Unit
- All ED nurses rotate regularly through the Main ED, Fast Track, and Observation Unit areas, and may also be assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, COVID Tent, and Entry Screening
- Nurses are assigned to different areas daily and may be rotated mid-shift based on patient volume and unit needs
- Occasional floating to other departments is expected, which may include taking a patient load or task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones
- Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a) on a 7-on/7-off rotation, typically alternating between 36-hour and 48-hour weeks
- Must be flexible to cover other shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Certifications required: BLS/BCLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and Conscious Sedation (obtainable through the facility upon confirmation for a $105 fee)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in Emergency Department nursing required
- Must be a returning traveler to this facility
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline will result in being pushed to the following Monday's orientation
- No RTO (time off requests) will be accepted
- May be assigned to assist with COVID testing and/or immunization clinics as needed
- Shifts may change during the contract to accommodate staffing needs, including potential reassignment to day shift
