Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:7 patient ratio utilizing a team nursing model
• 13-week contract with night shifts (7p–7a, 4x12)
• Weekend rotation required on an as-needed basis
• Block scheduling is not accommodated; weekend block schedules may be considered on a case-by-case basis during the interview
• On-call required as needed
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• ADN degree required (BSN not required for this position)
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment period; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be forwarded for facility approval
