Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Primary patient focus on cardiac diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), rule-out Myocardial Infarction (MI), Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), and arrhythmias
• Secondary patient focus on respiratory conditions such as COPD and pneumonia
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
