Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in Tyler, TX, requiring at least 2 years of recent Electrophysiology experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Works in a hospital Cardiology Cath Lab department
• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or via compact licensure required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Electrophysiology (EP) experience required
• All certifications must be active and not expired
• Social Security Number required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation required during on-boarding
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted on this position
• BSN preferred but not required
