Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of experience for a pediatric imaging role at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.
Details
- Pediatric hospital setting within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
- X-Ray Tech role serving a pediatric patient population
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with holiday rotation
- On-call is required and included in the rotation; must be able to report within 1 hour of being called in
- On-call hours: Mon–Fri 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; weekends 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Floating to other pediatric imaging locations on the same campus may be required for critical staffing coverage
- Charting via Epic
- Orientation occurs during the first week on weekday day shifts before transitioning to the set weekend schedule
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
- Current ARRT (R) certification and BLS (AHA only) required
- SC license required if applicable; SC license must be in hand prior to start
- OR experience and C-arm experience required
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate; local candidates living within 60 miles will be considered at a reduced rate
Additional Information
- O-arm experience is preferred; training will be available for both O-arm and OR/C-arm procedures
- Trauma and pediatric imaging experience are preferred but not required
- SCRQSA (R) certification is also accepted in lieu of or in addition to ARRT (R)
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration and is subject to facility approval
- Candidates must complete online modules prior to the start of the assignment
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs are required
- A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
- Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 payment for a parking pass
