Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN - Operating Room Circulator in Clinton Township, MI, requiring an active Michigan RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• Circulator role within the OR department
• 36 hours per week across 3 days, consisting of a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
• Primary shift start time is 6:50 AM
• One 12-hour weekend shift required every 5–6 weeks
• 8-hour weekend call shift required approximately every 2 months
• Ability to pick up additional shifts is available
• No blocked scheduling

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities for formulating nursing care plans
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• COVID vaccination is mandatory for employment

Additional Information

• Circulator responsibilities include coordinating and delivering quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in resolving variances from patient goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to start date with a passing score, typically one week before the assignment begins
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to offer; any requests made after assignment start will need manager approval
• 2 references and copies of certifications required for consideration
