Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-volume, Level IV Maternal Designation facility in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

• Day shift schedule: 06:45–19:15
• Level IV Maternal Designation academic teaching facility with large private OB practices
• Unit consists of 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum rooms
• High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
• 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
• Facility includes a Perinatal Transport Program and is expanding to a new Women's Tower in mid-2026
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license recognized in TX required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA or Red Cross), ACLS (AHA or Red Cross), NRP (AAP)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required
• US Social Security Number required
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Preferred qualifications include 3–5 years of perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume setting, a BSN, S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate based on proximity to the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
