Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-volume, Level IV Maternal Designation facility in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Level IV Maternal Designation facility with 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum beds
- High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing over 500 deliveries per month
- Academic teaching service as well as large private OB practices
- 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Active Perinatal Transport Program
- Facility expansion to a new Women's Tower planned for mid-2026
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or Red Cross), ACLS (AHA or Red Cross), and NRP (AAP)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required
- US Social Security Number required
- Valid driver's license required
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Preferred experience: 3–5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Preferred certifications: S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Local candidates are welcome to apply; travel pay rates may vary based on proximity to the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
