Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Cardiac Catheterization Lab position in Newton, NJ, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Located in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab of an acute care hospital setting
• 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts (7AM–5PM)
• 37.5 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required on an as-needed basis
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (NJ or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment across the care continuum, direct patient care, and procedure-specific nursing care within the cath lab
• Documents nursing assessments, patient progress, and education in Epic
• Upholds National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Engages patients and family members in pre- and post-procedure education and assessment
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
