Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery night shift position in Arlington, TX, requiring at least 1 year of travel experience in high-risk OB/L&D and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit (OBED-707) located in a women's hospital setting
- 23-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- High-risk OB care including magnesium drips, insulin drips, circulating, and scrubbing
- EMR: CPN/Meditech
- Floating required within the women's service line, including postpartum and antepartum units
- On-call requirement of 1 shift every 4 weeks
- 6-week contract with 48 hours per week
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and intermediate or advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring (or NCCEFM) — all must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date
- Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience in high-risk OB/L&D required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates accepted
- OBED experience preferred
- High-risk and high-volume OB experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provides all aspects of high-risk OB care including circulating and scrubbing in the OR
- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CSTs, 3 OR RNs, and 1 unit secretary; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4–6 RNs, 1 CST, and 1 unit secretary
- No RTO or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
- Must be available to start within 5–7 days of offer
- First-time travelers are not eligible — at least 1 year of travel RN experience in high-risk OB/L&D is required
