Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position at a high-volume invasive cardiology unit requiring ACLS, BLS, and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Work in an Invasive Cardiology unit comprised of 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 dedicated Electrophysiology labs with 23 prep/recovery bays
- Unit completes over 6,000 procedures per year
- Advanced cardiovascular procedures performed include complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant and explant, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral intervention, and pulmonary embolectomy
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Weekend availability required on an as-needed basis
- Minimal on-call responsibilities, primarily to support full-time staff as needed
- Must be available to stay until the last patient is cared for
- Epic EMR experience required
- No floating required
- No holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Candidates undergo a clinical review for fit prior to manager interview; clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis
- Manager interview is required
- May care for COVID-positive patients
- Tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
- Maximum of 7 days of time off allowed during the contract; all time off requests must be submitted at the time of application

Sometimes the schedule can be confusing with rotating shifts and call schedules that don’t align well with your scheduled shifts. But again if there is a major concern they’ll try and work with you on it!
