Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures in an acute care setting.

Details

• Ultrasound department within a regional hospital setting
• Scope includes general and vascular ultrasound; excludes ABIs, segmental pressure studies, echocardiography, and breast imaging
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Charting via Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience
• Associate's degree required
• ARDMS registry required
• BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with general and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Competency with immobilization techniques, image quality evaluation, sterile technique, and infection prevention protocols
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs ultrasound procedures per physician orders, including patient positioning, immobilization, and safe patient transfer
• Responsible for appropriate operation of all ultrasound imaging equipment and department supplies
• Submits required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Coordinates examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
• Maintains open and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
