Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience along with active ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Nuclear Medicine department within an acute care hospital's Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology division
• Department has 3 scanners/rooms
• Common studies include stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, and GI procedures
• Average of 12 scans/studies per day
• Equipment includes GE and Philips scanners
• EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson PACS and CVPACS
• ARNPs assist with cardiology studies and a radiologist is on-site
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage required
• Holiday coverage is required
• Limited call/standby required
• No floating to other departments required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Active ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required — pending certifications not accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• NMTCB-NCT (Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist) certification required
• State license required if applicable — active license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Ability to start IVs required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, GI procedures, and IV insertions as part of routine daily duties
• One week of department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are not provided; any professional color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
