Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience along with active ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Nuclear Medicine department within an acute care hospital's Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology division
- Department has 3 scanners/rooms
- Common studies include stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, and GI procedures
- Average of 12 scans/studies per day
- Equipment includes GE and Philips scanners
- EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson PACS and CVPACS
- ARNPs assist with cardiology studies and a radiologist is on-site
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage required
- Holiday coverage is required
- Limited call/standby required
- No floating to other departments required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Active ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required — pending certifications not accepted
- Active BLS certification required
- NMTCB-NCT (Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist) certification required
- State license required if applicable — active license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Ability to start IVs required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, GI procedures, and IV insertions as part of routine daily duties
- One week of department-specific orientation provided
- Scrubs are not provided; any professional color scrubs are acceptable
- Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
