Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with home health experience and HCHB proficiency for a 12-week day-shift contract serving an adult-to-geriatric patient population across a multi-county coverage area.

Details

• Home health setting covering 4 counties; willingness to travel throughout the service area is required
• Patient population: adults to geriatrics
• Caseload ratio of 1:5
• Documents in HCHB (experience required)
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30); no weekends
• Floating within scope of practice as needed
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health PT experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Active PT license required if applicable
• Proficiency with HCHB EMR required
• Must be willing and able to travel across a 4-county service area

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays may result in a two-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
