Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications, with Epic EMR proficiency and the ability to float across all Swedish facilities in Washington state.

Details

• Adult and pediatric emergency department setting with 40 total beds, including 29 standard beds and 11 hallway beds
• Patient care areas include ambulance triage, lobby triage, and ED holding
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to all Swedish facilities within the state
• EMR: Epic (required)
• Procedures include breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, procedural sedation, RSI, trach care, ventilator management, blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, CRRT/dialysis, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and rapid infuser use

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with a broad range of emergency procedures including RSI, procedural sedation, ventilator management, CRRT/dialysis, and cardioversion/defibrillation
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to float between all Swedish facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff of other (non-Swedish) Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation period
• RTO is expected to be minimal; any requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
