Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IMC (Intermediate Care) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Telemetry or PCU/Stepdown experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) in a hospital setting with 12 staffed beds
- Patient care includes post-surgical recovery, cardiac drips (non-titratable), insulin and heparin drips, and bedside procedures involving Ketamine (burn care, chest tube, wound care)
- Frequent assessments and reassessments required, with q2-hour pain dosing and respiratory interventions
- Night shift: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to other facilities within the network
- Charting performed in Epic
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) — no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC, or Stepdown required
- Neuro Stepdown and Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience beneficial
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required
- Utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months required for consideration
- Two supervisory references required
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout date requests will be accepted
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
