Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in an IMC Cardiovascular unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- IMC Cardiovascular unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population consists of cardiac and telemetry patients (not a stepdown unit)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1–6:1 depending on staffing
- Every other weekend requirement
- No on-call responsibilities
- Temp-to-perm conversion is a possibility
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or valid compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification from the AHA required
- Current ACLS certification from the AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
- SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocols and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Educates patients, family members, and/or caregivers and identifies relevant resources
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed during onboarding
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- BSN preferred but not required
