Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and GE equipment proficiency for a 13-week assignment in Pittsfield, MA.

Details

• Work in the MRI department of a 298-bed acute care teaching hospital with a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department providing 24-hour service
• Equipment includes GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI scanners
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR system (experience highly preferred)
• Approximately 9 patients per shift
• Three 12-hour shifts per week: Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, plus one 12-hour weekday shift
• Holiday rotation coverage is required
• Call shifts are possible, particularly after midnight when the department transitions to on-call coverage
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current MRI experience required
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• GE MRI equipment experience required
• Must be available to work weekends and evenings
• Must be willing to take call as needed
• Personal vehicle required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required for consideration
• MRI skills checklist current within the past year required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Technologists will always work alongside another Tech Aide or MRI Tech — solo coverage is not required
• The facility is a nationally recognized teaching hospital, ranked among the safest in the nation by The Leapfrog Group with straight 'A' grades since the program's inception
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accommodated for this assignment, and all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of profile upload — requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the role requires current and active MRI experience
