Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of experience and proficient OR and fluoroscopy skills for a 13-week contract in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department in Cedar Rapids, IA
• Department equipment includes Philips Diagnostic and Carestream for standard imaging; OR equipment includes a Hologic breast machine, Philips portable, Siemens Cysto, and GE OEC C-arms; fluoroscopy equipment includes Toshiba
• Average of 100 patient scans per day across all techs
• EMR: Epic
• Monday–Friday, 0400–1230, 40 hours per week
• Weekend on-call rotation required

Requirements

• Minimum of 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinic or hospital setting
• Proficient OR experience required
• Fluoroscopy experience required
• Experience with Philips equipment required; Carestream portable experience preferred
• GE OEC C-arm experience required; Siemens Cysto experience highly preferred
• Active ARRT certification required
• Active AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Iowa Radiology License or IDPH State Permit highly preferred; non-licensed candidates will be considered but must apply for the Iowa license upon acceptance — license required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have at least 24 months of X-Ray experience
• Candidates who have been employed by the facility as an FTE or PRN within the past 12 months are not eligible for this position
• Travelers are required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a bill rate reduction
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday windows
