Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring extensive cardiac and ICU experience with the ability to float across multiple units.

Details

• Float Pool position covering Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down, and ICU units
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Floating required across multiple units and departments

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• ICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Develops and executes individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
