Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) Days position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring at least 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience and vent/trach competency.

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting in Indianapolis, IN
• Assigned to the Chronic Care unit
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or multi-state compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Tele/LTAC hospital setting required
• Vent/trach experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability and safe delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and prioritizing care
• Delegates patient care responsibilities to assigned personnel commensurate with their education and experience
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Previous employment at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed at time of consideration
