Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for a pediatric Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 1 year of experience with Epic EMR and GE equipment in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Details
- Pediatric short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center with 167 staffed beds
- MRI department serving a pediatric inpatient and outpatient population
- Daily caseload of approximately 15 patients
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with a rotating day off each week
- Nights, weekends, and holidays are covered by call
- On-call required: 1–2 nights per week and every 4th or 5th weekend depending on staffing
- Travelers may be required to participate in weekend call rotation and holiday rotation
- No floating within the facility or to sister facilities required
- Epic EMR used; experience is required
- GE MRI equipment used; experience strongly preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
- Contrast administration experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT certification strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- GE MRI equipment experience strongly preferred
- Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

- Travelers must be clean-shaven for mask fit testing — CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and personal CAPRs/PAPRs are not permitted; failure to comply will result in cancellation
- RTO should be requested as early as possible; participation in holiday and weekend rotations may be required
- Block schedule requests are at the manager's discretion
- Pending license acceptance is at the manager's discretion
