Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a Rehab position in Fort Dodge, IA, requiring at least 1 year of PT experience with outpatient experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Primary setting is outpatient clinic (4 days/week), with 1 day per week in acute care inpatient setting
- Acute care weekend shifts (1–2 during the contract) are optional but welcomed by the facility; weekend on-call hours are Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM
- Acute weekend patients include ortho, neuro, and safety discharge cases only
- Traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Day shift, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8 hours/day
- Epic EMR; experience required
- Orientation runs weekly, starting on Mondays
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required; work history must reflect at least 24 months of current PT experience
- Outpatient PT experience required; inpatient experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active Iowa PT license required; non-Iowa-licensed candidates will be considered if willing and able to apply for the Iowa license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license required
- License required if applicable
- At least one completed travel contract preferred
- Active state license and certifications must be current at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Traveler functions as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care
- Travelers who have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
- Candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Travelers are required to work 1–2 of 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
- A supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years is preferred for consideration
