Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in Beckley, WV, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a WV or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital telemetry unit, which is currently expanding
• Night shift schedule (7p–7:30a) on a rotating 36/48 basis (3x12 one week, 4x12 the next)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Charting via Meditech EMR
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active WV state or compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• Hospital setting experience required
• Driver's license with permanent address must be provided for consideration
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 charge nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Middle name required for consideration; confirmation needed if no middle name

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted after submission
• Must be willing and able to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travelers who have worked at this health system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit
