Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Orthopedics Med/Surg unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience, and Charge RN experience, working night shifts in a 29-bed orthopedic and med/surg unit.

Details

• 29-bed orthopedic and med/surg unit in a hospital setting serving adult through geriatric patients
• High-volume patient population includes total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
• Moderate-volume patient population includes other surgical procedures, inpatient and 24-hour observation medical patients
• Telemetry monitoring available on the unit
• On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the floor
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to orthopedic and medical/surgical patients, including post-operative total joint replacement, fracture repair, and kyphoplasty patients
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam as part of compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
