Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a CCC and a minimum of 2 years of home health experience for a 13-week home health assignment in Pittsfield, MA.

Details

• Home health setting serving patients in the Pittsfield, MA area
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Weekend coverage required approximately every 4 to 6 weekends; holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Clinical Fellows will be considered
• Valid Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of SLP home health experience required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment including language/communication aids and wheelchairs
• Acute care experience preferred
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Speech-Language Pathology skills checklist current within 1 year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing direct speech therapy services to home health patients
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and contributes to the development of each patient's comprehensive plan of care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; no more than 5 days of RTO will be considered, and requests made after submission may result in a rescinded offer
