Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rock Island, IL, requiring 2 years of experience and active IL and IA RN licenses.

Details

• Day shift position with hours from 6:45 AM - 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Med-Surg setting within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
• EMR: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; IA RN license also required (may be pending at start but must be obtained)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration required (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban)
• Valid Driver's License required
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required
• Must have a taxable home address located more than 50 miles from the facility

• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team in the management of progressive care patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have been employed by UnityPoint within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Travelers are required to work 1–2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day
