Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of hospital-based PT experience for a 13-week travel contract in Houston, TX, with rotating weekends required.
Details
- Inpatient Physical Therapy department within a 444-bed acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:12
- Day shift team consists of 1 Charge, 3 PTs, and 2 PTAs
- Standard hospital equipment used throughout the unit
- EMR system: Meditech
- Rotating weekends required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience in a hospital setting
- Must have active PT licensure for the state of Texas (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited program required
- Must have worked in the specialty within the last 6 months
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions within the PT discipline
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered
