Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pre-Op/PACU travel position in Kerrville, TX, requiring prior Pre/PACU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Position alternates between Pre-Op and PACU roles within the same facility
• Floating is required between the surgery center and main hospital on campus
• Day shift schedule (5x8 hrs), with shift start times rotating among all staff between 5:30–8:00 AM and known in advance
• Late shifts are shared and assigned on rotation
• Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Located in Kerrville, TX — Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour outside San Antonio

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• CAPA and/or CPAN certification preferred
• Prior Pre-Op and/or PACU nursing experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid all substances that could result in a positive screen, including CBD products
